ADVISORY

Well, we've got our first advisory folks. I love snow but just not driving in it. I never feel safe.

A SNOW ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 AM TO 6 PM CST THURSDAY.

SNOW IS EXPECTED TO SPREAD INTO WEST CENTRAL ILLINOIS AROUND DAYBREAK THURSDAY...AND THEN INTO THE ILLINOIS RIVER VALLEY AND THE I-55 CORRIDOR DURING THE REST OF THE MORNING. AT THIS TIME... IT APPEARS THAT THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL OCCUR DURING THE AFTERNOON. TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS RANGING FROM 3 TO 5 INCHES ARE ANTICIPATED BY EARLY THURSDAY EVENING...WITH SLIGHTLY HIGHER AMOUNTS POSSIBLE FROM GALESBURG TO PEORIA TO CANTON.

A SNOW ADVISORY MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES. BE PREPARED FOR SNOW COVERED ROADS AND LIMITED VISIBILITIES...AND USE CAUTION WHILE DRIVING.
