No. 12 Illinois Wins Rematch With UNC, 68-64
Oh yeah, diggity diggity.
Last night was rather uneventful for me. I actually got a call to come out from RD. I was surprised but I probably surprised him by saying "No, I'm staying in". I have been feeling sick. Yesterday I went and got my magic bottle of amoxacillin refilled. Then I came home from work. I ate. I drugged myself up with Amox, Tylenol PM, and Benedryl and then prepared myself for a great night sleep. After the Illini Basketball game of course! I barely stayed awake for that but I am glad that I did because the Illini pulled out another win. They still look sloppy and they have yet to find their groove but I see the potential. We've got great players but they need to learn to work as one and not as individuals. Passing sucks but hopefully will get better. They are 6-0 so far.
So this is going to be a month of doctors. Monday I did the Family Doctor, Tomorrow I do the Blood Doctor, then on the 16th I do my Surgeon. I'm so excited because you know what doctors mean? BILLS! Bills that will help to keep my checking account below $0.00. YAY!

Put your biscuits in the oven, get your buns in bed
Well, yesterday was an eventful day. I went to the doctor to get my now confirmed hernia checked out. I am going to have surgery on it. They are cutting me up again. I don't have a date for the actual surgery yet but I do know that I meet with the surgen on December 16th. I wish that I could have gotten in sooner but apparently that was the best that they could do.
So I'm starting to come down with a nasty head cold. Why can't I just get better and stay better? This is enough to drive a man to drink. Oh, wait, I do.
I saw the movie In Her Shoes with a friend. That was good. Chick flick but funny at parts. It has a good ending.
Went to the Presidential Museum. That was awesome. I couldn't take in everything that I wanted to take in. A place like that you really need an entire day to see everything that is available. I really enjoyed it and want to go back soon.
I got my photos back from the Hypnotist. They are awesome. When I get a chance I will try to scan some and get them posted on here.

Who ya gonna call?
Well, I finally called the doctor. My hernia is bothering me more and more lately. I woke up this morning at about 6:30am - 7:30am unbable to sleep because the hernia was burning. I'm getting more and more confirmation about this actually being a hernia. It has been described to me as my stomach pushing up over my diaphram and this can lead to severe heart burn because of the direction the food is ging and it litterally gets stuck. It is a protrusion about the size of a fist right below my rib cage and above my normal ab muscles.
So I called my family doctor to get in as soon as possible. I got an appointment for Monday afternoon. It is with his assistant, and he will be in the office if she needs to consult with him about what needs to be done. Surgery will probably be the thing to happen. I'm not too excited about this. I hate being laid up like I probably will be. What would be great is if I can get it to be over Christmas break so that I don't miss a lot of work. In theory.
I just cannot win, can I?

Turkey
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
Eat lots of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, jell-o molds, sweet potatoes, and PIE!
Get your nap in and then DO IT ALL AGAIN! YES! I love this day so very very much. I am so happy that my family is home. I don't get to see them nearly enough. If I'm not sick of them then I am not seeing them enough. Does that make sense? I'm sure it does for a lot of you.
Thanks to everyone who came down to DH Browns last night and made it such a wonderful night. Thanks to Zach and Derek for helping out with the "problem" toward the end of the night.
Well, I don't have much else to say except call me. I've got 4 days off to just have fun. And fun I WILL HAVE!
I love your eyes.

Here I am, once again
It is always a competion. Always the short end of the stick.
My possible hernia has been hurting me lately. Last night at work it was pretty bad, so much so that I had to bring the kids back inside because I had to sit down to take the stress off of my abs.
I think that I might be going back into the when is it my turn phase. I might be getting overloaded. I cannot always handle it.
I cannot wait til the family gets here. I'm going to emerse myself. Except for my brothers, they will get my time.

Come One, Come All!
It is 10pm, I am tired. I haven't been getting enough sleep lately. Maybe if I could validate not getting enough sleep then it would be alright. I haven't been getting any naps either. It has been go go go.
Anywho, I am working the door down at Browns on Wednesday Night aka Thanksgiving Eve. aka The Busiest Bar Night of the Year. Everyone should come down. Now, if I expect correctly, it will be crowded and fun. You will probably see people you haven't seen in ages because that is the only night of the year that some people even go out. Or old friends are finally back in town. But yes, I might not be able to socialize much if it is as busy as planned but knowing that you are there and may possibly go out afterwards, well that will just make my night.
Hugs and kisses from lady friends are always encouraged.
You've already won me over
Last night, I saw the new Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. IT ROCKED! What was also awesome is that there was a SUPERMAN movie trailer on before the movie. SO COOL.
So, I believe that will be the end of movie night for a while. Unless I start arranging it at the cheap theater at the mall. People weren't that into it anymore anyway. This is the 3rd week in a row when I had only 1 person with me.

Dave Matthews Band
So I have a friend who has 4 tickets to the Dave Matthews Band concert that is in a little over a week. Nov. 30th at Assembly Hall in Champaign. They are good tickets. Like 55 bucks a piece. My friend wants to get rid of all 4, and is willing to split them in to two sets of two. Get ahold of me if you are interested. Let me know asap.
Class Project Gone Wrong
An elementary school class started a class project to make planters to take home to their parents. They wanted to have a plant in it that was easy to take care of, so they decided to use cactus plants.
The students were given green-ware pottery planters in the shape of clowns which they painted with glaze. The clown planters were professionally fired at a class outing so they could see the process. It was great fun.
They planted cactus seeds in the finished planters and! they grew nicely, but unfortunately, the children were not allowed to take them home. The cactus plants were removed and small ivy replaced them and the children were then allowed to take them home instead.
The teacher said cactus seemed like a good idea at the time!

Thanksgiving Week
So, a 3 day week for most people. What are people's plans for the holiday? I will be spending it here with the family. Work the door at the bar on Wednesday and Friday night.
I went running again today with Torrie. That was great. We stepped it up a notch. Added 20 seconds to each interval and unintentionally we added hills. It was a good workout.
I have no orange gatorade story nor a babies suck story nor any other fun or controversial thing going on. I believe that I will be going to see Harry Potter this evening.
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire at ShowPlace 12 West at 10:00pm. Sounds good? I hope so, cause that's what it is Willis!

LOVE IT!
WOOOO BABY! I just finished reading Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets. Awesome! I kept setting it down this past week and I was determined to finish it this weekend. So I sat down this evening and read over a 150 pages to finish the book. I wish all reading was this fun. I don't know if I have enjoyed reading anything more. I am going to start in on the third book tonight. Yep, I'm not even going to give myself time to cool off. I also love how each book gets thicker. That just means more Harry Potter stories for me to enjoy.
Now begins Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (The third book in the series for those that don't know)
Darkness
So I usually like that it gets dark earlier at this time of year because then I can start the "night" that much earlier too but at the moment I am not liking it because I've been lazy today and I want to go walking and it is almost too dark. I might go anyway. I'm not sure though. We'll see.
But yeah, right now, just checkin out blogs and drinking a cup of black regular hot coffee. mmmmmm
side note
I brought my Harry Potter book up to Champaign with me. I'm such a dork. I plan on reading myself to sleep. Starting right about.......NOW!
A break from monotony
Here I sit. I am in Champaign right now. It is 1:30am. I came for a change of pace. I came to see my sister and brother-in-law. I'm glad that I did. Hanging out is something that I do very well and I enjoy. Granted I did not get up here until about 9:20pm but we hung out. Went to the store. We watched a movie. I got the tour of her new place. I only had about 3 people get ahold of me to see what was going on tonight. I felt bad at first because I had to share the fact that I wouldn't be able to hang out. But then I thought about it and said to myself, I need a break. Not just from one thing or that thing or this thing, but from everything. I'm trying to get a new life started without throwing away the old life. That takes effort. I appreciate everyone who is there for me. I cannot always express my gratitude in the best way but I do want you to know that it is there.
I really feel as though my life is starting to have direction.
I hope that everyone in Springfield had a good time tonight. I do wish that I could have been both places at the same time but I am happy with my choice.
I ran by myself on Saturday. Well, I say ran but I think that I have explained my program. Walking and jogging. I did great and felt great afterwards. Not the same without Torrie though. I'm looking forward to our next jogging rendevoux(sp?).
I helped Josh put insulation in his attic of the house he is building. Wow, that was fun. I was happy to help but woooo buddy, that took a little longer than I think either of us had thought. I did that right after my jogging, and tell you what, I think that I got enough exercise to last me a few days. I won't take that into consideration though because I plan on doing a little sumthin sumthin tomorrow to keep me on track. Oh baby.

Knock 3 Time on the Ceiling if you want me
Twice on the "pipes"
So it is finally Friday. Boy oh boy.
Last night I had that crazy sleep that is deep yet uneasy. For example, I went to sleep at about 12:30am and I woke up from deep sleep at about 1am. I had that uneasy feeling, thinking that I had over slept. My mind starts freaking out. Then I finally look at the clock and see it is shortly after 1 in the morning, instead of being like, ohhh, then going back to sleep, I just sit there. I was so confused as to why it was 1am when I had been "asleep" for so so long. I did this about 2 more times through the night. Then by the time actually getting up was ready I was so tired and couldn't get out of bed. Had to force myself.
I work the door at the bar this evening. From 9pm until 1am. Everyone stop by and see me. Have a few drinks, and chat.
I am so happy that it is almost the weekend. Happy Happy Joy Joy

Photo Shoot!
Wow! I feel like a million bucks. I wish I HAD a million bucks! But feeling like it is pretty good in itself.
The photo shoot went spectacularly. I felt like I looked awesome and they acted like I looked awesome. They took a ton of photos between 2 different shirts and with and without a hat. Lots of poses and expressions. I was almost always grinning of course. They couldn't get enough of my smile.
They even surprised me and had me shoot some video about my weight loss, I sucked it up at this though. Oh boy. Put me infront of a camera and especially without prior notice and practice, I was not as energetic as I probably could have been and I was like, " and uhhhhhh" quite often.
So, today was a good day. I worked this morning from 7am until noon because of a meeting at the office today.
Then I went and ran with Torrie. Oh boy was that great. She guestimates that we did a little over 2 miles of the combo walk/jog. I broke a great sweat but I wasn't exhausted. We did this for about an hour, walked 5 minutes, then jogged for 1 minute, and kept that pattern going. It was all timed. Torrie knows what she is doing, I'm in great hands. My knees are feeling it, a little bit this evening though, I am taking tomorrow off because I am too busy anyway, so that will give my legs time to recoup and get ready for the next day of training. Which I will probably do on Saturday, unfortunately by myself since Torrie is leaving me. :( But we'll get back to running together early next week.
Then I worked this afternoon and that went alright.
Then I headed for the Photo Shoot.
As some may know, my Great Uncle isn't doing so well, 24 hours later and he is still in the hospital. I haven't seen him since he was in the emergency room last night. He has since been admitted to a room. I think he still looks great for going to be 91 years old in less than a month.
Not smoking, and going strong. We will see how the weekend treats me.

268
I've been trying very hard lately, well since Sunday, to be good with what I eat. And I am down to 268 pounds as of this morning. This is on my scale post-waking up and pre-showering. I've really been cutting back on the bigger meals and practically no snacking besides an apple or something. So, That makes my total weight loss at 82 pounds. I think that with my new save money be more well rounded lifestyle I can continue losing the weight.
I'm planning on starting a running program with Torrie. I just hit a bump in my road though and I'm trying to figure out my life. So, yeah, I don't know. I'm good at making excuses.
It has been a whole day since I have had a puff. So far so good. I quit cold turkey before, I know that I can do it again.
Tomorrow is my photo shoot. Yes, my photo shoot. I am a movie star, donchaknow. My hypnotist set me up with a photographer that used to do marquee posters for movies. He still has all of his equipment in a studio here in town. They are going to take pictures of me for their advertisements. I am so stoked. They bought me new clothes to wear and keep, so that is a perk. I had told them in the beginning, that if they help me lose the weight, they can have testimonials gallore.

Coffee blurb
Coffee
You can't get your day started without a big cup of java, and as a stand-alone, you'll be glad to hear it's OK for your diet.
"Coffee by itself is calorie free," says Moores.
But start adding on accessories and your seemingly innocent morning coffee turns your diet in the wrong direction.
"Coffee drinks can be astronomically high in calories depending on the ingredients and size of the drink one selects," says Moores. "I've seen one coffee drink that contained more than 1,000 calories for 16 ounces. Ouch."
Hitting the Fan
Well my life needs to get in order real quick or else. As for a starter I am going to stop the bad habit(s). Actually, consider me quit as of right now. Eating out more than 1 time a week isn't going to happen anymore. Going out every night of the week isn't going to happen either. Movie night, well, that is a tough one but I think that I will still do the new Harry Potter when it starts but after that Seeing, Buying, and Renting movies are done. I'm contemplating going alcohol free for a while, while I am at it. This has nothing to do with losing weight. I received an ultimatum. Probably the most serious thing ever to happen to me. I have to get my act together. I cannot be carefree, live by the seat of my pants Kyle anylonger. Because all along I wasn't living by the seat of my pants, I have been living by the seat of two other people. Two people that I love and that I have been hurting because of my lifestyle of "fun" and "goodtimes".
So you probably won't be seeing much of me. It takes effort to get a life in order. I'll be around. I'll still be doing the door down at the bar for now. I expect by cutting back this much I won't be broke anymore. I will be getting my affairs in order as the money starts to build.
I hate that I have to do this, right as so many new things are coming into my life. I have no choice.

Quickie
So that Harry Potter 2 book that I had to order for the second time, it came already! WOOOO! HP rocks. I can give Jenny her copy back now that I have my own.
This past weekend was awesome. I worked on Friday night and took it easy. Just drank water then headed home after work.
Saturday, hmmm, I met up with the ladies at the bar. We were supposed to bar hop but that didn't really end up happening. I think we closed down Mojo's and then a few of us went to Mr. Shoo's place to hang out a little longer. I think I made it home shortly after 5:30am
Sunday is the best day ever. Wings, Beer, Football, Beer, Beer, Poker, Beer. Throw in buying a bed and drinking some bloody marys and riding in the back of a truck and my day was set.
Tonight is movie night. Going to see Derailed at Parkway Point at 6:40pm. I sent out the mass text. I hope all can make it, I hear that it is a really good movie. One friend says the best yet this year.
After the movie I will more than likely head down to Browns. Ed is tending bar there. I'm sure some of my lady friends might make appearances too. ;)
So MySpace is the rage again. I've got my link on the right, well, it's been there for a long time but now it is moved up to the top of the list.
Comments anyone?
Sounds like someone's got a case of the Mondays.
